Safeguarding

The Ely Diocesan Association of Church Bell Ringers acknowledges its duty of care for the protection from physical, sexual or emotional abuse, of children (under 18 years of age) and vulnerable adults attending events organised at Association and District level.

The Association has appointed a Safeguarding Officer to implement safeguarding guidelines for ringing activities which take place on church property, and act as a resource to members on safeguarding and child protection issues. The Association Safeguarding Officer can be contacted on safeguarding@elyda.org.uk.

It is the responsibility of each PCC to adopt safeguarding policies for all activities which take place on its premises. The Association will work with PCCs to encourage ringing in their towers whilst supporting local safeguarding policy.
